Sound so sweet, it can't be beat!

I have over 20 years of experience as a professional sound engineer, consistently delivering high-quality audio across diverse environments. My passion for live sound production ignited during my teenage years when I provided sound and lighting for school productions and local amateur dramatic groups. This early involvement fostered a deep interest in both the technical and creative aspects of audio, prompting me to pursue a BTEC in Theatre Production at sixth form college. Upon completing my studies, I opted to decline a university placement in favor of gaining hands-on experience as a freelance sound engineer while simultaneously working part-time as a venue technician.

Throughout this period, I tackled a variety of projects, including broadcast sound, festival and outdoor PA systems, theatre productions, and live music events. In addition to my live sound work, I cultivated a strong interest in AV installation, subcontracting on significant projects such as the transformation of the Millennium Dome into a concert venue and the AV upgrade at the Blackpool Winter Gardens.

Subsequently, I spent several years in a permanent role as a sound technician and maintenance manager for a local AV company. This position provided valuable insights into delivering sound services for corporate events and allowed me to refine my diagnostic and repair skills. By maintaining and repairing the company's equipment inventory in-house, I contributed to significant cost savings and enhanced system reliability.

In 2018, I decided to become self-employed to fully focus on my own projects. Since then, I've developed two distinct yet complementary strands of my business: live sound engineering and AV installation—both grounded in decades of practical experience, technical knowledge, and a commitment to excellence.

At the heart of my work is a genuine love for sound and a pragmatic, problem-solving approach. I take great pride in delivering systems and productions that seamlessly function—whether that means achieving a flawless live mix, creating a well-designed installation, or providing quick, effective solutions when challenges arise.
